Christian Jacobs is an American musician, celebrity, television producer, and voice actor. Christian Jacobs started his career in acting as a child, and appeared in numerous productions, like the All in the Family spin-off Gloria. While working on Gleaming the Block, Jacobs befriended quite a few well known and highly influential skateboarders and musicians. In 1990, he worked alongside Mark Gonzales and Jason Leeon Blind Skateboards’ Video Days, so when an artist, Jacobs designed board images for Tony Hawk’s Birdhouse Skateboards and for the Jason Lee and Steve Berrapro models. In 1994, Jacobs, alongside Chad Larson and Boyd Terry, formed the Orange County-based band The Aquabats, in which Jacobs serves as the lead singer and lyricist under the stage name The MC Bat Commander. In 2012, The Aquabats! Super Show!, a live-action musical television series starring the group, premiered on cable channel The Hub, with Jacobs serving as co-originator, producer, writer and star. They earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Children’s Series. The series’ second season started airing on June 1, 2013. Meanwhile, Jacobs and Schultz formed a production company,”The Magic Store”. Their objective is to create family-oriented television entertainment. They independently created, wrote and directed two pilot episodes in 2005 to get a preschooler-targeted children’s television series called Yo Gabba Gabba! The show was picked up by Via com’s Nick Jr. channel in 2007, finally becoming an international success and winning numerous television awards. Christian Richards Jacobs was born on January 11, 1972 in Rexburg, Idaho. Aside from being an actor and producer, he is an devoted surfer, skateboarder, Japanese toy collector and artist. He’s married and has four children.
