Dominican Octavio Dotel is a professional baseball pitcher. He was born Octavio Eduardo Dotel Diaz on November 25, 1973 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and attended the Liceo Cansino Afuera. He was afterwards promoted through the Met’s minor league system for the subsequent seasons. Following annually, Octavio Dotel got three wins in 16 matches, along with 16 saves when he was converted from starting pitcher to relief pitcher, filling in as closer for an injured Billy Wagner.
