Richie Hawtin Net Worth $8.5 Million
English-Canadian DJ and electronic musician Richie Hawtin has an estimated net worth of $8.5 million. Though he was born in Oxfordshire, England and grew up in Windsor, Ontario, he was an influential part of Detroit techno’s second wave of artists in the early 1990’s. Hawtin is famous for his abstract, minimal works below the alias Plastikman. Born on June 4, 1970, Richard Hawtin moved at the age of nine to LaSalle, Ontario, Canada. The area is across the river from Detroit where techno music was created. His dad, a lover of electronic music, introduced him to Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream for an early age. At 17, he already began to DJ in clubs in Detroit. His early style was a mix of house music and techno. Along with Canadian DJ John Aquaviva, Hawtin formed the label Plus 8 in 1990. Then he started releasing tracks underneath the name F.U.S.E. While he was in Detroit, he’s created and run numerous successful electronic music celebrations and events. He’s released a total of 14 records under the names F.U.S.E., Plastikman, and Concept1. He later relocated to New York City and then to Berlin, Germany where he now resides and works. Regardless of touring and recording, he is also a part of the group od DJs who instruct seminars, workshops, and symposiums on electronic music at several universities included in the “CNTL: Beyond EDM”.
