Shin ChangJae Net Worth $192 Billion
South Korean billionaire Shin Chang-Jae is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kyobo Life Insurance with the estimated net worth of $1.92 billion as of April 2013. According to Forbes, he ranked seventh in Korea’s 50 Richest list and 736th in the record of World Billionaires.
Although he never really wished to be a businessman, he has to take control of the organization that his father began with all the subsidiary, Kyobo Book Center. Ever since then, he’s assembled Kyobo into the third-biggest life insurance company in the nation and his wealth has grown over time.
This past year, he was named Asian Insurance Industry’s Character of the Year during the awards dinner in Kuala Lumpur. There are speculations that he’s intending to bid for ING Life Korea. If the takeover happens, Kyobo will be No. 2 among the largest life insurance companies in South Korea.
Before taking the duties in the company, Shin Chang-Jae stayed in his homeland and attended medical school at Seoul National University. He later became an obstetrician along with a medical school professor at his alma mater.
